BYC Racing Programs and Events
Our active racing fleet consisting of PHRF racer cruisers and Sunfish. Our racing events consists of weekly Wednesday night racing, the annual BYC Regatta, and various special races such as the Shirley Ulp Lady Skippers Race, the Couples Race, a Single Handed Race Series and long distance Holiday races. Holiday races are held on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We also host the Art Danielson Sunfish Regatta on the last weekend in August. And last but certainly not least, BYC established a beginner’s introductory sailing program for new participants to learn about racing.
Due to size restrictions, our boats are no longer than 32 feet with a 12 foot beam. This makes for active and very competitive racing. Among our members is the 2010 Rochester Hospice overall champion and numerous divisional winners from all over Lake Ontario.
